Top 10 Most Listen To

Well, well, well. Here we go again. Another edition of my Top 10 Most Listen to. This time I will be listing down the songs that have been on my replay list over and over again this week (16 to 22 July). Enjoy!

10. Alhamdulillah – Too Phat feat Yassin, Daly of Ahli Fiqr, and Dian Sastrowardoyo.
One great thing about this song is the dynamic. Ada Malique rapping in a classy way, ada Joe Flizzow who is giving us some Jay Z realness, ada Daly of Ahli Fiqr dengan slow and steady rapping, Yassin that will make your heart melt with his voice, and the adorable Dian Sastrowardoyo who dropped some seriously good poems at the intro and outro. Kudos!

9. I Won’t Give Up – Jason Mraz
Slow tempo ballad – which is my fav kinda music, added with some strong, inspiring lyrics about the God, love, and life. And when he sang “we’ve got a lot to learn, and God knows we’re worth it”, my entire existence is slayed.

8. All About Us – He is We feat Owl City
Mula-mula aku nda dengar sangat lagu ni, but once I saw the clip video, I was hooked. Romantic gila video klip dia.

7. Chasing Cars – Grey’s Anatomy
Sekarang ni aku tengah kemaruk Grey’s Anatomy. Aku da download 8 season of the show and watching it non-stop ever since. This particular episode – The Song Beneath The Song – is one of the standouts, especially when dorang perform lagu ni. Sara Ramirez a.k.a Dr. Callie Torres did a phenomenal job on this one.

6. Torn Heart - Ivy
Kalau korang kenal perempuan ni and dengar lagu ni, then korang akan betul-betul rasa this song. Kesian si Ivy ni boyfriend dia ugut mau release sex tape dorang. Ngam betul lagu ni dengan dia. Take a listen and get in touch with your inner sex-tape-victim  sadness.

5. Wreck of the Day – Anna Nalick
Well, Grey’s Anatomy brought me here. During my bad day, memang paling ngam dengar ni lagu. “I am not falling in love, I am just falling to pieces” – who cannot relate to that?

4. Teman Pengganti – Malique feat Malique
Mungkin sebab aku sekarang jauh ngan classmate aku kot that is why lagu ni mean something extra special to me. Tapi serius cakap, melankolik gila ni lagu. Melodi dia memang sedih mau mampus, da tu suara si Black macam budak cengeng ja aku dengar.

3. Titanium – Madilyn Bailey (David Guetta feat Sia Cover)
I am a fan of the original, but this version took it to another level. I like the simple music arrangement, and Madilyn’s voice is ear-aphrodisiac.

2. Day by Day – T-ara
Mula-mula dengar ada iras-iras Britney’s Criminal. But still this song slayed me from the first time I heard it leaked online.

1. Midnight – B2ST
Pure perfection. B2ST is the best. Period.

PS: look out for my review on the band’s latest masterpiece – Midnight Sun.

Top 10 Most Listen To

10. Sunny Hill - Ringback Tone

the old-school Sunny Hill. still, this song slays your flop faves entire discography.

9. Karmin - Brokenhearted

8. Spica - Russian Roulette

one of the best new-act in K-Pop. these bitches slays their live performances.

7. Papinka - Dimana Hatimu

6. Taylor Swift - Safe & Sound

in spirit of the most anticipated movie of all time, this song eat me alive.

5. Big Bang - Bad Boy

4. Marina & The Diamonds - Primadonna

I wonder why this band hasn't make it big yet. maybe because she sounds so much like Katy Perry?

3. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know

2. Big Bang - Blue

the biggest comeback in 2012 so far. this song slays my heart and brought me down to my knees in awesomeness.

1. Sunny Hill - The Grasshopper Song

one of my favorite acts in K-Pop. this band is so underrated. the live performance of this song define my entire existence. if I were SNSD, T-ara, and KARA, I would put extra glue on my wigs coz these bitches gonna snatch!

B2ST IS THE BEST: THE BEAST UNLEASHED, READY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD

oh my God, oh my God! I am literally shaking & crying so hard, it makes me look like a better dancer than Lady GaGa. no, it is not because that bitch suddenly realise that she is not worthy of being around after Madonna premier her new video or that Britney Spears decided to go to the gym to build up her 6 packs again, but it is simply because 6 heavenly god that descended to the Earth to slay us with their amazing vocals and awesome dancing has scored their 1st #1 in the GAON chart. yes stupid bitches, I am talking about my #1 favorite boy band of all time and time after, B2ST. the band has scored their 1st #1 with their new digital single "I Knew It".  and the most awesome part of it, the single debut at #3 on K-Pop Billboard 100.

*fall into a deep coma*

this week marked another history in the bands' long-list of achievements and amazing success. I Knew It topped the GAON chart and becoming their 1st ever #1 on the chart despite last year their epic and flawless song "Fiction" has been snatching wigs all over the year. crazy right? to make it even crazier, the song hasn't even been promoted in any music program. it is simply release as a promotion to promote their world tour (Beautiful Show) and their eventual 2nd full-length album.

the amazing ballad filled with the sounds of heaven of the boys colorful voices managed to top so many various onlie music sites, eventually leading the band to score and all-kill in the music charts across Asia. plus, the music video, which is simple and beautiful that shows the acting talent of the band's maknae, Dong Woon, helps to pull the song even further on the chart. the band stated that there will be more digital singles to come as they embark on their world tour. there has already been a teaser of the mext digital single as the follow-up to I Knew It. beastofficial, the official YouTube channel of the band uploaded a teaser of Jun Hyung digital single "Living Without You". from what it seems, it is gonna be another hit for the band.

B2ST is truly an amazing band. they have achieved so many, in such a short year. they managed to beat 2PM (on of the big 4 in K-Pop) on M!Net music countdown only after 161 days debuting into the scene. this is considered a huge achievement as they were only a rookie by that time and 2PM is HUGE. not only that, they are the first ever rookie band that managed to sell 100,000+ copies of their mini-album after 1 year. no band ever scored that number. plus, only after a year in the biz, the band has already have their own headlining concert, "Welcome to the Beast Airline", which came to favourable reviews. trust me, I downloaded the tour DVD illegally from the internet and the tour was awesome, they dance and they sing live. it is almost like I am watching the Big Show of Big Bang. since the tour is so successful and the crowds want more, it is only reasonable to have a follow-up concert, "Welcome Back to the Beast Airline"  to a massive crowd for 2 days.

2011 was also a huge year for the band, not only for the success of their follow up concert, but also the release of their 1st full-length album, "Fact & Fiction". the lead single "Fiction" was considered one of the biggest hit that year, killing all music programs and snatching wigs on the chart. plus, the song was named "Song of The Year" in the KBS Music Program and also in the M!Net Music Countdown. what turned out to be a surprise form the album is one of my favorite tracks of the band's entire discography, the single "On Rainy Days", which saw a huge success despite being released only as a digital single to further promote the album. considering the success of the album, the management of the band, Cube Ent. decided to promote the song on music program where the boys perform on the stage as artificial raining fall on them.

plus, the band also named "Artist of the Year" even when they are only 1 year old, a huge achievement that only can be achieved by the likes of the legendary Wonder Girls. and for last year, the album "Fact and Fiction" out-sold the almighty Big Bang mini-album.

AWESOME.

B2ST has come a very long, long way. during their debut, the band was faced with so many criticism, calling them a recycle band as 4 members of the band was previously a "reject" of the music scene. Du Jun was eliminated to debut with 2AM, Hyun Seung failed to be included with the almighty Big Bang, Gi Kwang was a flop solo artist, and Jun Hyung was also in a forgettable band, Xing.

however, they managed to silenced their critics by producing a new wave of sound in K-Pop. with every new release, the band come up with new sounds; unlike some other band who use the same formula over and over again such as the so-annoyingly-stupid Super Junior with their Sorry Sorry Vol. 1 - Vol. 3. boring! the single "Shock" was truly the one that catapult the band into the global music scene. the single is truly a fresh air, combining rock & electronic on a very addictive melody, not to mention the flawless choreography. since then, there is no turning back for the band. this is the song that made me go head over heels with the band. true story.

there are so many boy bands out there in the world of K-Pop but no band ever really touched the level of success of the Big 4: the almighty Big Bang, the amazing TVXQ, the oh-so-cool 2PM, and the I-don't-really-give-a-fuck-about-this-band Super Junior. but now, everyone seems to be talking that B2ST is the one to heir their throne. and trust me, I think B2ST already snatched the wig outta 2PM and Super Junior big heads. with humongous popularity in Korea, as well as Japan and across the globe, B2ST is definitely on the right track to become the legendary bands such as those 4.

what sets them a part from the other bands is that this band can sing. seriously, like I'm not even kidding. usually, we all see how K-Pop boyband always put out the same dancy numbers and amazed us with their more than epic choreography. but with B2ST, we are not only served with that aspect, but we also witness how this band can actually belt a tune. the 6 different members on the band has 6 different vocal colors that actually sounded good altogether. I've seen so many live performances of them (via YouTube of course) and oh yeah, they can sing live. Ki Kwang is a soloist before, no doubt he can sing. Hyun Seung always deliver as the main vocalist of the band. Du Jun, the leader who sings ballad amazingly. Dong Woon who is the most improved also can sing wonderfuly. and Yo Seop, need I say more? if you haven't seen this kid sings live and blow your mind away, then you are not worth living at all. even the rapper Jun Hyung can sing.

for sure, there is so much more to come from this band. they are only a little more than 2 years in the biz but they have achieved so many level of success that their seniors can only dream off. trust me, one day B2ST will stand tall as the biggest thing that happened in the Asia, since the invention of chopstick. the only thing that pisses me off is that they call their official fan-club as "B2UTY". isn't that sound cliché? B2UTY & THE B2ST. urghhh.

I think, it is time for us to call it the Big 5 in K-Pop boyband, adding B2ST into the list of the biggest boy band in K-Pop. or let's just call it the Big 3: Big Bang, TVXQ, and B2ST since 2PM is flopping already and Super Junior is just so stupid and annoying, they are irrelevant to mention.

B2ST, hwaiting!

The Wait Is Over: EVANESCENCE Returns With New Single, Remains Better Than Your Faves

aha! today is officially one of the best days of my life - music wise that is. Evanescence, my favorite band of all time and sedetik lebih selepas selamanya, has returned with a new single "What You Want".

and it is flawless.

sudah lama aku tunggu hari ni tiba. sungguh lama.band gothic/rock/alt/pop-metal apa-apa-ja-la-genre-dorang-korang-maw-cakap sudah lama nda kuar single. last pun Together Again tapi tu pun di release sebab charity. sudah masuk lebih kurang 5 tahun dorang nda pull out any album and as to date, they haven't been performing anywhere for almost 20 months. macam-macam ja jadi ma dorang - dari lineup changes sampai la genre switches. kadang-kadang terpikir jua ne "nda la dorang return ne.. abis da Evanescence ne.." sekalinya tinguk - "What You Want" is surface - and yes, it is worth the fucking wait!

ari tuh dorang ada posted di Evanescence.com yang Amy Lee and Co. are heading to a more electronic direction untuk album baru dorang, but what we get from this new single is old-time Evanescence: classic rock at its best! the song is enormous, loud, and heavy (typical Evanescence) tapi ada jua elemen catchy pop hooks. as someone that is drawn to lyrics, and especially Amy Lee is my number one idol in writing, i can't help but to fall hardly for the lyrics. lirik lagu ni sikit-sikit ada macam self-impowering, so kena la dengan situasi dorang sebelum-sebelum ni.

i have always been a huge fan of this band. aku mula-mula kenal dorang time era Fallen which has sold 16 million records worldwide to date. then dorang take 4 years hiatus before coming back with The Open Door yang aku rasa is a complete game-changer. after that, dorang take another 5 years and will debut their latest album Oktober nanti. fuhh. cepat-cepat la masa berlalu. nda sabar da ne. i have this feeling that this album will be like Fallen and The Open Door have sex and the result is this amazing new-born.

after all the crap that Lady GaGa a.k.a Stupid Shithead has pulled out this year, i can't wait for someone to pull a real music out after my Queen, Britney Spears with Femme Fatale. so untuk korang yang belum dengar lagu ni, tunaikan kewajipan anda. klik link di bawah ne and be prepared to be amazed till your jaw drop!!!

The Return Of Blink 182: Up All Night

dalam beberapa hari ni, aku dok keboringan jek di rumah sambil online 24/7 and basically has nothing else to do. but last night, something good finally happen. i was randomly browsing internet and then - bam! - Blink 182 is back with their new single: "Up All Night".

berita pasal dorang maw buat comeback ne kalau nda silap lama da aku dengar. mungkin jugak projek dorang stalled gara-gara macam-macam isu dorang. ada pasal rehab, pasal divorce... ntah la. aku nda ikut sangat dorang ni. tapi setelah bertahun lamanya, akhirnya, one of the greatest pop-punk rock band in the history of music launched dorang punya single ne di radio dan di website dorang.

kalau ikutkan tajuk lagu ne, mesti korang pikir yang lagu ne sama jua macam lagu-lagu dorang yang dulu - macam party anthem la kunun. dorang kunun refuse untuk grow up, dorang cuma maw rock on, cuma maw have fun macam dulu-dulu laa time dorang masi muda (skrang droang 30-an da nda silap laa). MAAF, ANDA SILAP.

"Up All Night" adalah lagu yang betul-betul menusuk kalbu, sangat melankolik, yang mana lagu ne memberikan perspektif tentang macamana untuk melalui satu jalan yang dianggap macam neraka, yang dikenali sebagai kehidupan. to be honest, being someone who is drawn so much into witing, lirik lagu ni is one of the best ever.

“Everyone raises kids in a world that changes life into a bitter game / Everyone works and fights, stays up all night to celebrate the day / And everyone lives to tell the tale of how we die alone some day / Let me get this straight, do you want me here? / As I struggle through each and every year / And all these demons, they keep me up all night / They keep me up all night.”

dengar ja lagu ni, terus aku pi carik lirik dia. fuhhh. sangat realistik, ging. band ni memang terkenal dengan lirik dorang yang fun dan kebiasaannya sexually-inspired, tapi once in a while they can penned some of the best songs lyrically. need proof? cuba dengar lirik "Stay Together for the Kids" .

dari segi lirik, memang sangat matured udah la di dengar. i guess they are at a point where life truly take its tool on them. so they decided to really show it to the people this time. or mungkin this is just a song that happened to be written in the perspective of life. who knows kan? while the lyrics seem to be mature enough, tapi dari segi muzik, trademark band ni - raucuos guitar riffs style production yang nda dapat di agak - masih lagi dapat didengar. and yang paling siok, dihujung2 lagu ni ada breakdown: filled with jagged guitars dan ditambah dengan drum yang frantic and punding. aku nda juga pakar dalam bidang muzik ni, but this one is good. really good.

walau pun aku nda minat betul ma band ni, tapi lagu ni do not disappoint. memang enjoy juga laa. this song is amazing. it really is. kalau korang belum pernah dengar, cuba dengar lagu ni (just klik link tuh) dibawah. sedia la kroang untuk bergegar dan nangis2 macam India mati lakik.
